sys_maxbootfail

The sys_maxbootfail variable allows you to set a limit to the number of times that the recovery action applied through the sys_bootrestart variable is allowed to be taken, keeping the system from peforming the recovery action continuously.

The default value for this variable is 3.

From the ALOM command shell:

• To specify a value (or values) for this variable, use the setupsc command.
• To view the current value, use the showsc command.
• To change the value(s), use the setsc command.

Using the scadm utility:

• To view the current value for this variable, use the show command.
• To change the value, use the set command.
