showusers

Use the showusers command to display the list of users currently logged in to ALOM. The list includes details such as the type of connection, the duration of each user's session, the IP address of the client (if the user is using a network connection), and whether the user has the host system console's write lock (this determines whether the user can type input in a system console session, or just monitor the system console in read-only mode).

How to Use the showusers Command

Note: You do not need user permissions to use this command.

At the sc> prompt, type the following command:

sc> showusers option

where option is -g lines, if desired. For example:

sc> showusers
username
---------
connection
-----------
login time
----------
client IP addr
--------------
console
------------
joeuser serial Sep 16 10:30
bigadmin net-3 Sep 14 17:24 123.123.123.123 system
sueuser net-2 Sep 15 12:55 123.223.123.223

If a user has more than one session running, each session is listed.

Command Option

The showusers command uses one option: -g lines.

This option pauses the display after the number of lines you specify for lines. After each pause, ALOM returns the following message:

--pause-- Press 'q' to quit, any other key to continue

If ALOM encounters an alert condition or an event, it displays the information after this message. Press any key to continue, or press q to exit the display and return to the sc> prompt.
