The figure indicates that each disk is directly connected to each of the other disks by a bidirectional line. That is, the top disk has two lines coming out of it: one line is connected to the disk on the lower left, and another line connects to the disk on the lower right. Similarly, the disk on the lower left has a line connecting it to the top disk and another line connecting it to the disk on the lower right, and so it goes.
